As Member Service Counselor - Registry, you will provide sales and service to members in the areas of membership, reservations, and other branch products and services both in-person and over-the-phone. In select states, you will provide registry services and ensure compliance with state regulations. The Member Service Counselor will achieve assigned standards for sales and referrals, recommend club products and services, and embody club mission and value statements in all interactions.

• Member Service:
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of products and services offered by AAA Northeast and use that knowledge to promote membership sales, including upgrades, auto‑renewal, and digital membership.
  • Use technology and product knowledge to promote AAA credit card program, business line referrals and other club initiatives, make changes on existing memberships, and assist members with any issues that may arise.
  • Deliver accurate and timely information to members regarding club products/services, maintain department standards, and support club partnerships such as Registry Services and TSA.
  • In select locations, provide registry services and/or TSA services, including handling confidential documents, inputting information into systems, and reviewing applications for completeness in compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Assist members with accommodations and points of interest, map routes, and make hotel and car reservations as needed; promote and assist members with international driving permits, passport photos, foreign currency, theme park tickets, entertainment tickets, and other club products.
• Sales:
  • Consistently meet and/or exceed minimum member satisfaction scores and other related position goals.
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of products and services and use cross‑selling techniques and training to educate members about benefits and key performance indicators while maintaining a positive member experience.
  • Stay up‑to‑date on all promotions and initiatives in the branch and identify opportunities to improve overall branch performance.
• Daily Operations:
  • Act as a liaison with other departments, including Travel, Insurance, Membership, Finance, IT, and Member Relations, to coordinate and gather necessary information for members or departmental issues.
  • Perform job duties in accordance with department policies, procedures, and practices, adhering to all club/department safety protocols.

High School Diploma or GED Required

Customer Service with a focus in Sales Required

• Satisfactorily pass state-specific and federal background checks during pre- and post-hiring in accordance with state and federal requirements.
• Meet individual state requirements to perform registry & TSA services, including clearing federal/state specific background checks/processes.
