Lead Diesel Technician Mechanic – NFI

- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Preferred ability to obtain a Class B license
- Technical or advanced degree or 3‑5 years of equivalent maintenance experience
- Familiarity with troubleshooting equipment repairs and maintenance using diagnostic tools and equipment such as JPRO, OEM Diagnostic Software, multimeters, and Windows
- Successfully demonstrated problem‑solving skills
- Examples of teamwork and customer service skills, including strong oral and written communication
- On‑site evaluation with recommended training
- Handle organization and tracking of purchase orders
- Organize the shop workload for the shop technicians
- Order parts for the shop
- Work well with the Shop Service Manager on leadership tasks
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical tractor and trailer‑related issues using standard testing procedures and computer diagnostic equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on our fleet of trucks & trailers
- Perform DOT inspection per FMCSA guidelines
- Be physically capable of lifting and/or pulling 75 lbs or more without restriction, standing or lying for extended periods, and having flexible movement to reach equipment
