WIN Waste is currently looking for a Lead Diesel Mechanic who will work under limited supervision, repair and maintain our fleet of vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair fleet vehicles and equipment
• Read and interpret Vehicle Condition Reports and repair orders
• Communicate with supervisor and equipment operators for clarification of maintenance needs
• Complete paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and account for applied times
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA and organizational standards
• Train and develop junior technicians
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Experience, Education, Certification:

• Equivalent of (1) high school diploma or certification and 4 years of related equipment maintenance and repair; OR (2) 6 years of related equipment maintenance and repair.
• Valid driver license.

Physical Requirements:

• Handle tools, equipment, fine motor skills
• Reach with hands and arms
• Climb and walk on heights often greater than 4 feet
• Occasionally must be able to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
