Pay Rate: $51,196 per year

Job OverviewWork with us and make a difference; our Unaccompanied Refugee Minor Program is looking for a new team member who is passionate about placing Refugee children and youth into safe, reliable and loving foster homes! The Family Resource Specialist works to identify, match, train, prepare and develop foster families to effectively care for the children in our program. The Family Resource will assure that all necessary foster family documentation and preparation is complete, kept up to date and meets all regulatory requirements to care for children in their home.
The candidate will work as part of the team and will maintain excellent relationship with the State and other funding sources, stakeholders, families and the youth. The Foster Family Resource Specialist will visit each foster family monthly, and document families’ progress and growth. The perfect candidate has experience with refugee minors, the foster care system, diverse population, and has excellent communications skills and follow through.
Holds a bachelor’s degree in social work, or related field, bilingual English/Spanish a plus, has reliable transportation and is eager to attend trainings and acquire the LSWA certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field with 1 year experience and LSW licensure eligibility
- Ability to work within the Mission of the agency.
- Significant experience working with children with social/emotional/physical problems desirable. Mediation and conflict resolution skills helpful.
- Open to new ideas and desire to grow professionally. Flexibility in thinking and scheduling.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Ability to utilize independent sound clinical judgement and decision making with regards to best interest of children and families.

This position is located in Worcester, MA and it requires frequent travel (reimbursed) throughout Massachusetts. This position is in person with potential for hybrid schedule and requires often local travel to our group homes and occasional travel throughout New England.
