DescriptionAre you a strong swimmer? Do you enjoy teaching others and sharing your passion for aquatics? If so, Greendale Family Branch YMCA is looking for you to join our amazing Aquatics Team!
We are currently seeking year-round Swim Instructors who want to be part of a team! Swim Instructors are responsible for teaching skills and techniques to a wide range of ages while maintaining a safe, friendly pool environment for our members. Typical hours vary – weekdays, daytime, evenings, and weekends, with a preference for daytime and evening weekday availability.

Pay$15.00 per hour. Plus, access to YMCA facilities for all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave
Job Requirements- Be at least 16 years old.
- Swim 300 yards, continuously demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing.
- Swim using front crawl, breaststroke, or a combination of both; swimming on the back or side is not allowed. Swim goggles may be used.
- Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs.
- Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds involving swimming 20 yards, surface diving to retrieve a 10-pound object from 7 to 10 feet deep, and returning to the surface while carrying the object, then swimming 20 yards on the back carrying the object without using a ladder or steps.
- Hold a Swim Instructor certification or be willing to earn one.
