The Assistant Women's Soccer Coach will assist the Head Coach in planning and organizing all phases of the NJCAA Division III Women's Soccer program including, but not limited to, recruitment of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, budget management, practice and game preparation, fundraising, marketing, equipment management, film exchange and scouting, and a commitment to the student-athletes academic progress and degree completion.
Along with coaching responsibilities, the candidates will be assigned additional responsibilities dependent on the successful candidate's skill set and experience.
The Assistant Soccer Coach reports to the Head Soccer Coach and the Director of Athletics.
Supervision ExercisedAlong with the Head Soccer Coach, the Assistant Soccer Coach supervises the student/athletes who are involved in the Women's Soccer Program.
Responsibilities- Assist the Head Coach in the overall development and implementation of the Soccer program with an emphasis on developing a strategic plan for training and developing goalkeepers.
- Collaborate with the Head Coach to identify and recruit top talent, both locally and nationally who fit the culture and model the standards expected within the soccer program.
- Attend high school and club games and showcases to evaluate prospective student-athletes.
- Coordinate scouting reports, contribute to game-day strategies, including lineup decisions, in-game adjustments, and player management.
- Assist with game plan development and player readiness.
- Assist with management of all game day activities, such as statistics, film, and field organization.
- Organize eligibility compliance.
- Provide guidance and support to student-athletes in balancing their academic commitments with athletic responsibilities.
- Encourage academic success and monitor progress to ensure eligibility requirements are met.
- Assist with fundraising efforts, team travel organization, field maintenance, and equipment management.
- Review both game film, and practice film for the team as well as for prospective recruits and prepare written analysis for the Head Coach.
- Actively enhancing a positive image of Quinsigamond Community College.
- Scout future opponents, when feasible.
- Offering guidance and assistance to student/athletes.
- Serving as sole authority at practices and games in the absence of the Head Soccer Coach.
- Having knowledge in the care and prevention of athletic injuries.
- Conducting all activities within the rules and regulations of the College, the NJCAA and the Massachusetts Community College Athletic Conference.
- Having a certified Driver's License.
- Being aware of the academic responsibilities of the student/athletes and conducting practices in a manner so as not to interfere with their academic success.
- Actively supporting the teaching and learning process; working to create and support a student-centered environment.
- Working actively with other areas of the College to ensure a spirit of college-wide collaboration, collegiality, civility and teamwork.
- Embracing and supporting the principle that "diversity is everybody's business" through the daily performance of duties and responsibilities assessing processes and procedures to revise accordingly.

- Associate's degree
- Previous coaching and recruiting experience at the collegiate level required.
- Experience and background in care and prevention of athletic injuries.
- First Aid and CPR/AED Certified.
- Fundraising experience.
- Data input experience.
- Must have a certified Driver's License.
- USC National Diploma, USSF D License/Goalkeeper certification or equivalent.
- Preference will be given to candidates with college goalkeeping experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
