Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Accounts Semi Senior to join their welcoming team. As an Accounts Semi Senior, you will be responsible for supporting a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, sole traders and limited companies. Working closely with senior members of the team, you'll prepare accounts, build strong client relationships and continue developing your technical expertise within a growing practice.

• Preparing statutory accounts for a wide range of clients.
• Assisting with the preparation of management accounts.
• Preparing VAT returns and supporting bookkeeping activities.
• Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide excellent customer service.
• Supporting senior accountants and managers with client assignments.
• Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Using cloud accounting software including Xero and Sage.
• Assisting clients with day-to-day accounting and financial queries.
• Keeping up to date with relevant accounting standards and legislation.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Around 3-5 years' experience working within an accountancy practice.
• ACCA or ACA qualified, or actively studying towards qualification with exams nearing completion.
• Good working knowledge of Xero, Sage and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
• A positive, proactive attitude with a genuine desire to support both colleagues and clients.
• The ability to work independently while contributing to a close-knit team.
