Position: Fixed Term Contract 3 - 6 months, Accounts Technician/Accounts Senior
Accounts and Tax Contractor | 3 to 6 Month Fixed-Term Contract | East Sussex | Salary or day rate negotiable If you're between roles, coming to the end of a contract, or just fancy a defined piece of work with a proper firm behind it, this is worth a look. A long-established independent practice with offices in East Sussex needs an extra pair of experienced hands for three to six months.

They act for SMEs and owner-managed businesses right across Sussex, from farming and manufacturing through to professional services, so the work is varied and the files are in decent order. They've deliberately left the level open. This could suit an Accounts Senior who is confident taking a job through to final-stage accounts, or a Manager who would rather sit on the review side.

Preparing statutory and year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships Or reviewing accounts prepared by others and clearing queries, depending on your level Corporation tax and personal tax compliance alongside the accounts work Dealing with client queries directly where needed What's on offer:
Three to six months, with a genuine chance it extends if the workload holds Salary or day rate, whichever suits you better, negotiable on experience Flexibility on which office you're based from, and hybrid working is available A settled team with directors who are around and easy to get hold of No sales targets, no business development, just get the work done well You'll need:
Solid UK accountancy practice experience. This one isn't open to industry backgrounds Confidence preparing or reviewing accounts with limited supervision Working knowledge of corporation and personal tax compliance Availability to start reasonably quickly Qualified, part qualified or qualified by experience are all fine here. What matters is that you've done this work in practice and can pick up a portfolio without much hand-holding.
