The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) provides specialist mental health support for children and young people with moderate to severe mental health needs.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Administrator to join our Single Point of Access (SPA) team
. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dedicated and supportive service that plays a vital role in ensuring children, young people, families, and professionals receive timely and appropriate access to CAMHS support. You will be able to work effectively as part of a team and manage workload.
- Receiving and processing referrals onto the electronic patient record system
- Acting as the first point of contact for the SPA service
- Answering and managing the main SPA telephone line
- Responding to queries from families, professionals, and partner agencies
- Providing efficient administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the SPA function
This is a job share role for 15 hours per week
, working Thursdays and Fridays only

Main duties of the jobWhat you'll be doing:
- Providing a high-quality administrative service within the CAMHS Single Point of Access
- Supporting the processing of referrals and enquiries
- Liaising with clinicians, families, and external agencies
- Managing data, appointments, and record-keeping with accuracy and confidentiality
- Contributing to the smooth, effective running of the SPA office
What we're looking for:
- Previous administrative experience (NHS or similar setting beneficial)
- Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- A friendly, professional, and proactive approach
- Availability to work Thursdays and Fridays every week (days are not flexible)

- Undertake general office duties, as required, e.g. typing, data inputting, filing, scanning/copying and telefaxing, in line with Trust Policies and Procedures.
