The Student Casework Team draws together a range of duties, including student complaints, appeals, applications for consideration of mitigating circumstances, student discipline, and administration related to cases of alleged academic misconduct.

The post holder will work closely with the Student Casework Manager by supporting them with administration relating to claims for mitigating circumstances and dissertation extension requests. The role also includes managing the Universitys processes for handling alleged academic misconduct by students.

The Student Casework Assistant will arrange and act as Secretary for small committee meetings throughout the academic year as part of their role. This includes, as a matter of routine, dealing with confidential and sensitive issues and information.

The post holder will need to be proficient in using Microsoft Office 365 and be willing to learn how to use our corporate IT systems (training will be given).

The role holder will also assist the wider Registry Services department during busy key periods such as examination weeks, Welcome Weekend, and the University of Worcester Graduation Ceremonies.

This is a good opportunity for someone to join the Student Casework Team and learn different skills at an expanding local university.

What's in it for you?
  • Annual incremental pay increases up to £26,093, with the opportunity to progress to £27,319
  • 32 days leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays and University closure days), rising to 37 total days after 5 years service
  • Access to our Staff Retail Benefits Scheme
  • Wellbeing advice and support through our Employee Assistance Programme
  • In-house training and development support
  • A friendly, inclusive, and supportive culture and work environment

This role will be full time, with a flexi-time scheme in operation. After a period of training, the role holder may be able to work two days a week from home around the needs of the University.

Please note that if not already an employee of the University of Worcester, the appointed candidate will be employed through our subsidiary company Uniworc Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Worcester. Appointees of Uniworc Limited will automatically be enrolled into the Aviva FlexHE defined contribution pension scheme (subject to earnings and other eligibility criteria).

Please note that this post does not meet the minimum salary requirements for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route. We are therefore unable to consider applicants for this post who will require sponsorship to work in the UK.

We value diversity and wish to promote equality at all levels.
