We are a busy Emergency Department. We are looking for pleasant and caring Receptionists to join our efficient and professional team. You will have experience of dealing with the general public, be able to manage difficult situations and have a fundamental understanding of medical terminology and symptoms.
You will have a good general level of education at GCSE level or equivalent. You will be able to keep calm in a sometimes pressured and stressful environment, be a good communicator and have excellent organisational skills.
Main duties of the jobEmergency Department Receptionists work a flexible 24 hour rota system to include weekends, nights and bank holidays as required. Qualifications- You will have a good general level of education at GCSE level or equivalent.
- Basic keyboard skills/qualification.
- Any recognised IT processing/typing qualification.
- Basic inputting/keyboard skills.
- Good telephone manner.
- Basic numeracy.
- Ability to work calmly and prioritise tasks in a busy setting.
- Must be used to working in a busy environment with a variety of different people.
- Previous experience of working as a receptionist or administrator dealing with the general public / service users answering general queries.
- Previous experience in a health care setting.
