Advanced Social Work Practitioner - MACPT

Salary: £42,839 - £46,142 per annum, plus Market Forces £4,000.

Hours: 37 hours per week.

Location: Hybrid with central office Wildwood.

Team: Multi-agency Child protection team.

Contract: Permanent / Fixed Term.

The Role: As part of the Social Care reforms, we are further developing our Children’s Family Front Door to support families. The new MACPT will carry out child protection investigations, safety planning, joint work with partners and case discussions. You will work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, attending strategy discussions and undertaking child protection enquiries until their conclusion. At the conclusion of the child protection enquiry, families will receive appropriate support via early help in the community or through our family help pathway.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct child protection investigations and safety planning.
  • Manage SUDi/C joint work with partners and MASH case discussions.
  • Attend strategy discussions and make recommendations to safeguard families.
  • Build trusted relationships with community partners and families.
  • Work with police, health, education and domestic abuse colleagues to share information and plan safety.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Social Worker qualified practitioner with a minimum of 2 years post‑qualifying experience.
  • Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding.
  • Strong partnership working and application of levels of need guidance.
  • Evidence of working with multi‑agency teams and joint working.
