This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team focused on strengthening families, promoting positive change, and helping to ensure children can grow up safely within supportive home environments.

  • Work collaboratively with Social Workers and multi‑agency partners as part of the “team around the family”.
  • Maintain accurate written records and prepare high‑quality reports.
  • Work flexibly, including occasional out‑of‑hours and weekend work, based on family needs.
About You – Essential experience & skills

  • Strong knowledge of child development and relevant legislation (including the Children Act).
  • High‑level assessment skills and the ability to use a range of assessment tools.
  • Ability to manage challenging situations, including lone working in family homes.
  • Excellent report‑writing, observational, and communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Childcare, Early Years, Social Care, or similar.
  • A driving licence and access to a car during the working day.
Desirable

  • Experience working with babies and pre‑school children.
  • Familiarity with Liquid Logic and Microsoft Outlook.
  • First Aid training.
What We’re Looking For
  • Child‑focused, resilient, and committed to safeguarding.
  • Able to work independently and flexibly.
  • Confident in engaging with families in their own homes.
  • Committed to equality, dignity, and respect for all service users.
