Equans is looking for a Senior Project Manager (PFI Hand Back) to join our team on the Central & Southwest business unit on a 24-month fixed term contract basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, car allowance and benefits package.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will develop, track, and evaluate programmes to help achieve goals and objectives of the Central & Southwest business unit with regards to Centre of Best Practice PFI Handback. The role will require oversight of a Programme of Projects/Remedial Works/Defect Rectification Works relating to the Handback of PFI assets when they come to the end of the concession period.
Whatwill you deliver?
- Overseeing the overall management and performance of identified hand back programmes of work (either from internal surveys or external surveys) including feasibility reports, planning, design, construction, programme and commercial controls/monitoring, ensuring each project is delivered to time, budget and specification
- Ensuring all Health and Safety metrics are achieved and to lead on a culture of behavioural safety across the delivery unit
- Adherence with legislation CDM Regulations 2015 and Building Safety Act 2022
- Adherence with contractual obligations applicable to each project, appreciating the obligations will differ from project to project
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
- Building and sustaining an integrated, collaborative and high performance team that anticipates and responds to the needs of the organisation and key stakeholders

- A Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Surveying, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred
- Accreditation to relevant professional institute is preferred (IEng, MCIOB, RICS, etc)
- Demonstrable experience in project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery in the Construction industry in complex environments within a PFI environment
- CSCS Black Card
- NEBOSH General (construction)
- CBDS Enhanced with Barred Lists check – ability to pass is essential
