SEN Specialist Teacher - Full Time (SEN Specialist)

Location: WR1

Pay: £140 - £200 per day (Based on experience)

Contract: Full time opportunity Monday–Friday until end of academic year.

Smile Education is proud to be supporting a welcoming primary school in Worcester that is seeking a passionate Primary SEN Teacher to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated SEN specialist teacher to lead a class of SEN pupils, delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that support both academic progress and personal development. The role is suitable for teachers with experience in KS1 and/or KS2, who are committed to making a meaningful difference in children’s lives.

The Role
  • Deliver engaging, inclusive teaching tailored to pupils with a range of special educational needs.
  • Plan and implement personalised learning programmes in line with EHCPs and IEPs.
  • Create a safe, supportive and structured learning environment that promotes positive behaviour.
  • Assess, track and report on pupil progress and development.
  • Use differentiated and multi-sensory approaches to meet individual learning needs.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs and external professionals.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and parents/carers.
  • Contribute to reviews, meetings and multi-agency planning.
  • Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion always.

Requirements
  • Experience working with Autism (minimum 6 months)
  • Qualified teacher status (ESSENTIAL) (QTS)
  • SEN Teaching experience (minimum 3 months)
  • Professional and caring nature, able to create a safe and engaging environment
  • Committed to full time and reliable
  • Able to provide a minimum of 2 references covering the past two years
  • Hold an enhanced DBS or willing to apply for a new one through Smile Education
