SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time (Secondary SEN School)

Pay: £90 – £110 per day (Based on experience)

Contract:

Full-time opportunity, Monday–Friday until the end of the academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and patient individual to support students with a range of special educational needs, helping them to access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential. The Role

• Support students with a range of special educational needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties.

• Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive learning activities.

• Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual learning needs.

• Assist in implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.

• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day.

• Encourage student engagement, independence, and confidence in learning.

• Support students with social and emotional development.

• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, therapists, and parents/carers.

• Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements.

• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion at all times.

Requirements

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN (minimum 3 months).

• Previous experience supporting Autism is highly desirable.

• Experience with in a school, care, youth work, or support setting is advantageous.

• Patient, resilient, and caring nature with a genuine passion for supporting young people.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

• Committed to full-time work and able to provide consistency for students.

• Able to provide a minimum of two references covering the past two years, including one that comments on your work with children or young people.

• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through Smile Education.
