A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a committed Science Teacher to join an Alternative Provision in the Worcester area for the Autumn Term. This is a full‑responsibility role, ideal for a teacher who thrives in a nurturing, relationship‑focused environment and is confident supporting pupils with additional social, emotional, or behavioural needs.

About the Setting

This Alternative Provision offers a highly supportive, therapeutic environment for young people who require a more personalised approach to learning. Class sizes are small, behaviour is managed through strong relationships, and staff work closely to ensure every student can succeed.

The Role
  • Deliver engaging KS3-KS4 Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
  • Plan, prepare and assess in line with full teaching responsibilities
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of pupils with varied learning profiles
  • Build positive, consistent relationships to support behaviour and engagement
  • Work collaboratively with a small, supportive team including pastoral staff
  • Contribute to the wider school community and uphold safeguarding standards
What We're Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level
  • Confidence working with pupils who may present SEMH needs
  • A resilient, compassionate and adaptable teaching style
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship‑building skills
