Location: King's School, 5 College Green, Worcester, WR1 2LL
Salary: £13 per hour
Job Type: Part-time (16+ hours per week)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 24 months
Are you enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate about inspiring young minds? Join Young Engineers Worcester as a STEM Teaching Assistant Apprentice and help deliver engaging, hands‑on STEM learning through after‑school and weekend clubs.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real classroom experience while working towards a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
Working Hours- Monday to Friday: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
As a STEM Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you will:
- Assist with planning and preparing learning activities
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom
- Support pupils in achieving learning goals (e.g., guided reading, activities)
- Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to instructors
- Assist with behaviour management in line with school policies
- Carry out basic administrative tasks
- Help deliver fun, hands‑on STEM sessions that inspire curiosity and learning
- Experience working with children (schools, clubs, youth work, etc.)
- Confident, energetic communicator and positive role model
- Reliable, organised, and passionate about education
- Ability to work after‑school hours and weekends
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
- Must complete a DBS check and safeguarding training before starting
- Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and company procedures
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Support the wellbeing of children and staff
- Work in line with Ofsted requirements
- Report any safeguarding concerns immediately
- Paid travel time to and from the school
- Minimum of 16 hours per week
- Full STEM curriculum and session training provided
- All materials and equipment supplied
- Ongoing professional development and training
- Opportunity for a full‑time role upon successful completion of the apprenticeship
