Up to £39,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.00pm

About the Role
We are seeking a creative, dedicated, and passionate Art Teacher / Art Instructor to join our growing team and play a key role in inspiring pupils through artistic expression and creativity. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the next chapter of our school's journey by delivering engaging, personalised art lessons that encourage imagination, confidence, and self-expression.
Working with pupils with Special Educational Needs, you will create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every learner can explore their creativity, develop practical artistic skills, and celebrate their individual achievements. You will work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to ensure that pupils' learning, wellbeing, and personal development remain at the heart of everything we do.
What you will be doing
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and personalised art lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEN, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
- Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment that encourages creativity, confidence, independence, and self-expression.
- Adapt teaching strategies and artistic activities to support pupils' academic, social, emotional, and creative development.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, therapists, and families to ensure positive outcomes for every learner.
- Celebrate pupils' achievements through the display of artwork, creative projects, exhibitions, and enrichment activities that promote pride and confidence.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, behaviour management, pastoral care, and wellbeing while contributing positively to the school's creative and inclusive ethos.
What you will bring
- QTS required for Teaching position.
- A recognised qualification required for instructor position.
- Art, Fine Art, Art & Design, Creative Arts, or a related subject experience desired.
- Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
- A creative, enthusiastic, and passionate approach to art education with the ability to inspire learners of varying abilities.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and supporting every pupil to achieve their full creative and personal potential.
