Emmaus Catholic Multi Academy Company is recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant required for September 2026.
SalaryGrade 7 SCP 18 – SCP 23 (£31,537.00 – £34,470.00) (FTE-AYR) – pro rata.
Actual Salary: £20,785.52 – £23,131.83 per annum.
4 days, 28 hours per week, 39 weeks (TTO + Training Days).

Position SummaryThe Local Governing Body is seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work 4 days a week. The post is for PPA cover with planning and delivery of whole class lessons across Key Stage 2.
The successful candidate will support the day‑to‑day Higher Level Teaching Assistant activities and play a key role in delivering the school vision. We welcome applications from both Catholics and non‑Catholics but expect all employees to support the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
Responsibilities- Planning and delivery of whole class lessons across Key Stage 2.
- Support teaching and learning activities, ensuring high expectations of pupil achievement and well‑being.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff, contributing to the wider life of the school.
- Provide assistance in class management and student support as needed.
- Passionate about teaching and learning with high expectations of pupil achievement.
- Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum.
- Ambitious and willing to become fully involved in the wider life of the school.
