We are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and inspirational practitioner to lead our brand-new Inclusion Hub. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will shape and develop this provision, champion inclusive practice and deliver high-quality teaching to pupils within the base. The Inclusion Hub is a central part of our commitment to ensuring that all children, regardless of need, are supported to thrive both academically and socially.
The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day running of the hub, providing targeted teaching and interventions, supporting staff across the school, and working closely with the SENCO to ensure provision is effective, responsive, and inclusive.
The Inclusion Hub Lead is responsible for the day-to-day running of the school’s Inclusion Hub, providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs, including SEND and SEMH. Working under the direction of the Assistant Head Inclusion and senior leaders, the role focuses on delivering structured interventions, supporting pupil wellbeing, and enabling successful reintegration into mainstream classrooms. To support SLT in the implementation of all aspects of school in order to maintain the aims and ethos of the school and the Trust as a whole.

- Lead the daily organisation and routines of the Inclusion Hub to ensure a calm, safe and purposeful environment.
- Deliver planned learning activities and interventions to individuals and small groups.
- Adapt activities to meet the needs of pupils with a range of learning, communication, and social‑emotional needs.
- Support pupils to engage in learning and develop independence.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to support emotional regulation and behaviour.
- Implement behaviour support strategies, including de‑escalation techniques.
- Support pupils in developing social skills, resilience, and self‑confidence.
- Support pupils’ transition back into class.
- Deliver targeted interventions as directed by the SENCo or teaching staff and record pupil progress, engagement, and behaviour.
- Provide regular feedback to teachers and leaders on pupil outcomes.
- Contribute to the review of provision maps and individual support plans.
- Work collaboratively with class teachers to ensure continuity between the hub and mainstream classrooms.
- Prepare resources and learning materials tailored to pupil needs.
- Reinforce key learning concepts and support access to the curriculum.
- Promote positive attitudes to learning and engagement in activities.
- Provide guidance and support to other support staff working within the hub.
- Support communication with parents/carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing.
- Liaise with external professionals when required (under guidance).
- Contribute to meetings relating to pupil progress, behaviour, and support.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of all pupils in line with school policies.
- Maintain accurate records of interventions, behaviour, and incidents.
- Follow school procedures for safeguarding, behaviour, and SEND support.
- Model effective practice in supporting pupils with additional needs.
- Work closely with teachers, Assistant Head (Inclusion) and senior leaders to ensure consistency of approach.
- Accompany teaching staff and pupils on visits, trips and out of school activities as required and take responsibility for a group under the supervision of the teacher.
- Meet the physical and/ or hygiene needs of pupils as required.
- Support the use of ICT in learning activities and develop pupils’ competence and independence in its use.
- Participate in Enrichment.
- To have professional regard for the ethos, policies and practices of the school in which you teach, and maintain high standards in your own attendance and punctuality.
