We are really excited to be working with our client Herefordshire and Worcestershire Group Training Association and supporting them in looking for an experienced Engineering Tutor specialising in welding and fabrication to deliver engaging, high-quality training to apprentices and adult learners. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong engineering background who is passionate about education, coaching, and developing the next generation of skilled engineers.
As an Engineering Tutor, you'll deliver technical knowledge and support learners throughout their apprenticeship journey, ensuring they develop the skills and understanding needed to succeed in industry.
Key responsibilities of an Engineering Tutor include:- Delivering engaging classroom-based engineering training
- Planning lessons, schemes of work, and learning resources
- Supporting apprentices to achieve apprenticeship standards and qualifications
- Liaising with employers and Learning & Development Specialists regarding learner performance
- Ensuring assignments are completed in line with awarding body requirements
- Level 3 qualification (or above) in an engineering discipline
- Experience in welding
- Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Passion for supporting and developing learners
- Previous teaching or training experience
- Apprenticeship-trained background
- Teaching, Assessor or Verifier qualifications
- HNC in Engineering
- Knowledge of apprenticeship standards, EAL qualifications, Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values
