Science Teacher

We're looking for a full-time Science Teacher — Kimichi School Worcester

We need someone who can teach science well. But more than that, we need someone who is kind. Our pupils are bright, curious young people, many of whom have found mainstream school a difficult place to be. What changes things for them isn't a perfect scheme of work — it's an adult who is patient, consistent and genuinely interested in them.

So: qualified teacher status is welcome but not essential. If you're a recent graduate with a science degree who hasn't found the right role yet, or someone thinking about moving into teaching, we'd like to hear from you. We'll support you properly.

What we do ask for is empathy, curiosity, and the willingness to work restoratively — no detentions, no isolation, just relationships and high expectations.

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Science Education and subject knowledge across relevant disciplines.
• Candidates should possess strong skills in Physics and Mathematics to support teaching across the science curriculum.
• Candidates should possess effective classroom management, differentiation, and assessment skills.
• Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and colleagues.
• Relevant teaching experience in a school setting and familiarity with UK curriculum standards are beneficial.
• A degree in a science-related field or education and a commitment to ongoing professional development are preferred.
