You’ll deliver IT from Entry Level 1 through to BTEC and GCSE, adapting learning around individual abilities and helping students develop practical digital skills, confidence and greater independence. You’ll also have the opportunity to shape and develop the IT curriculum, bringing your own ideas and creativity into the classroom.

You don’t need QTS or a degree to apply. What we’re looking for is an ICT related qualification, strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage and motivate young people.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver engaging and differentiated IT learning across Entry Level, BTEC and GCSE qualifications.

• Lead the development and continuous improvement of the college’s IT curriculum.

• Create practical and inspiring Programmes of Work and Schemes of Study that meet different learner needs.

• Adapt learning for students with SEMH needs, different abilities and individual learning styles.

• Monitor and assess student progress, identifying strategies to maximise achievement and celebrate success.

• Work closely with the Examinations Officer to coordinate assessments and qualification entries.

• Help students develop digital confidence, independence and practical skills they can use beyond the classroom.

• Build positive relationships with students, families, colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team.

• Keep up to date with developments in IT and digital technologies, bringing fresh ideas into learning.

• Promote safeguarding, inclusion, positive behaviour and student wellbeing throughout the college.

You’ll need:

• Strong practical knowledge of IT and digital technologies.

• Experience delivering or supporting BTEC and GCSE IT qualifications.

• At least two years’ recent experience working with pupils with SEMH needs.

• Confidence adapting your approach around different abilities and ways of learning.

• The ability to make IT practical, engaging and relevant to young people.

Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with learners.

• A proactive and organised approach to planning and curriculum development.

• The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.

• A strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and student wellbeing.

QTS is not required and you do not need a degree to apply for this role.
