Smile Education are recruiting for an SEN Teaching assistant to work in a primary school in Worcester. We are working with a large school who are looking for a confident SEN Teaching assistant to come in and hit the ground running.
The SEN teaching assistant role would be working full time with a child on a 1:1 basis with autism, working Monday to Friday 8:30 to 3:30.
The Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant- Encouraging independence within the class and within students, being proactive
- Develop and concentrate on building a relationship with the children, staff and family members.
- Constant and consistent communication with the class teacher, regarding progress and potential methods of work.
- Create a secure and positive environment for the child to learn and feel comfortable.
- An up-to-date DBS on the update service or dated within the last 12 months.
- A teaching assistant qualification or health and social care (level 2 or
3). - Experience working with SEN children on a 1:1 basis or small groups work.
- Experience working with Primary school children.
- At least 2 professional references covering the last 2 years of work history.
- A daily rate of 100- 115 a day
- PAYE and Umbrella payment options
- Holiday pay of 12.07%
- Free CPD training available via the smile portal
- Referral scheme up to 200
- Dedicated consultant working within your area.
