The University of Worcester Library Services are seeking an outstanding candidate, to join our award-winning service as part of our Academic Engagement Team.

We are looking for a candidate dedicated to helping students develop the academic skills and confidence they need to succeed s role will suit individuals who are able to adapt their teaching to meet the differing needs of student cohorts and delivery styles. You will be a strong library and information management advocate, encouraging staff and students to engage with and use the full range of library services, including helping them to research and make effective use of a diverse set of information sources, tools and technologies.

You will work closely with academic colleagues, primarily within the College of Health and Sciences, to embed library teaching into their curriculum and develop resource lists that support and complement teaching. You will also be part of the popular askalibrarian enquiries team, helping our users to navigate our resources. This post will work primarily with the College of Health and Sciences.

The Library Services operates out of The Hive, a ground-breaking, fully integrated academic and public library, run in partnership with Worcestershire County Council, which provides services to all members of the University and community.

This role is open to those who would like flexible working arrangements.

  • Annual incremental increase up to £37,694, with the opportunity to progress to £41,064 subject to performance and the university reward scheme
  • Up to 36 days of leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays and University closure days) rising to 41 total days after 5 years' continuous service

Please note that if not already an employee of the University of Worcester, the appointed candidate will be employed through our subsidiary company Uniworc Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of University of Worcester. Appointees of Uniworc Limited will automatically be enrolled into the Aviva FlexHE defined contribution pension scheme (subject to earnings and other eligibility criteria).

Please note that this post does not meet the minimum salary requirements for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route. We are therefore unable to consider applicants for this post who will require sponsorship to work in the UK.
