The King's School, Worcester is seeking an outstanding Assistant Director of Music to join our thriving and highly respected Music Department. This is an exciting opportunity to join a school with a rich musical heritage, outstanding performance opportunities, and a close relationship with Worcester Cathedral.
Music occupies a central place in life at King's Worcester, with a vibrant programme of concerts, ensembles, productions, services and tours. Working alongside the Director of Music, the successful candidate will teach across Years 7 to 13, lead ensembles, contribute to curriculum development, and help shape the future of music across the Foundation.
We are looking for someone who:- Is a passionate and inspiring teacher of Music with excellent subject knowledge and the ability to engage pupils of all ages and abilities
- Has strong musicianship and, ideally, is an accomplished pianist and/or organist
- Brings energy, creativity and innovation to both classroom teaching and co-curricular music-making
- Has excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and a collaborative approach
- Is committed to supporting pupils’ academic, musical and personal development while maintaining the highest safeguarding standards.

Working pattern and contract: This is a permanent, full-time position, commencing September 2027.
