Smile Education are recruiting for a full time learning support to work within a primary school in the Worcester area.

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly primary school in Worcester on a full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to play an important role in creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

The role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other members of the school team to support pupils in their learning and development.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children with their learning, both individually and in small groups.
  • Helping pupils to develop confidence, independence and positive attitudes towards learning.
  • Supporting the class teacher with activities and classroom organisation.
  • Providing encouragement and reassurance to children who may need additional support.
  • Helping to create a safe, welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Supporting pupils' social and emotional development.
  • Building positive relationships with children, staff and parents/carers.
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school.

Previous experience working in a school or with children would be advantageous, but we would also welcome applications from candidates with relevant transferable experience and the right attitude.
