First for Education is seeking a nurturing EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Worcester.
This is a long-term supply position for the remainder of the Term, supporting pupils within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The role will involve working closely with the class teacher to support children at an important stage of their early development. The class may include pupils with additional needs, so experience supporting children with SEND within an EYFS or primary setting is highly desirable.

- Level 3 Early Years Educator status (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in the EYFS or a Primary School
- Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Experience supporting early learning, play-based development and phonics
- Experience supporting children with SEND in a mainstream setting (desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, caring and proactive approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, play-based learning activities
- Work 1:1 and in small groups to support early development and learning
- Support pupils with phonics, communication and early literacy skills
- Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Support children’s social, emotional and behavioural development
- Adapt support for pupils with SEND, including speech and language needs, ASD and developmental delays
- Assist with classroom organisation and daily routines
