Are you a passionate Food Technology Teacher looking for a new opportunity from January? Smile Education is working with a welcoming secondary school in Worcester who are looking for a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join their team on a maternity cover basis from January 2027 until July 2027. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Food Technology Teacher, or an ECT looking to gain further experience, to join a supportive department and make a real impact with students.
The Role- Teaching Food Technology and DT across KS3
- Planning and delivering engaging, practical and well-structured lessons.
- Developing students' practical skills, creativity and confidence.
- Supporting students with different abilities and learning needs.
- Maintaining positive behaviour and a productive classroom environment.
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Working collaboratively with the wider Design Technology department.
- QTS or relevant teaching qualification
. - Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering practical lessons.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- A creative, enthusiastic and engaging approach to teaching.
- Someone reliable, adaptable and committed to supporting students.
- Full-time maternity cover from January 2027 to July 2027
