Technical Sales Engineer

Bishops Frome, Worcester

Monday to Friday 39 Hours

£35,000 - £40,000 + Bonus Scheme

Are you an ambitious engineer looking to combine your technical expertise with a rewarding career in sales? We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join a growing team, within a specialist design and manufacturing business.

You will be instrumental in maintaining and expanding the company's business relationships, and the role will require you to develop a solid technical understanding of the company and its products, requiring excellent engineering knowledge and confident communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret client drawings and specifications to create accurate proposals and quotations
  • Provide technical advice and support to customers and contractors
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients and distributors
  • Generate quotes and follow up on leads
  • Collaborate closely with Production and Engineering teams to meet customer requirements
  • Contribute to achieving sales targets and business growth
  • Represent the company at exhibitions, site visits, and technical meetings
  • Maintain and update customer/project databases and support ISO‑9001 compliance
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or a technical field
  • Strong technical understanding combined with excellent numerical and communication skills
  • Proven sales ability or interest in developing a career in technical sales
  • Experience with B2B sales, CAD, drawings, or technical specifications is advantageous
  • Highly organised, proactive, and self‑motivated
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
