The Company
Our client, Yamazaki Mazak is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years.
As part of our ongoing plans to develop and enhance the Applications Team we are looking to recruit an Applications Engineer.

The Role
- The role is to provide the expertise required supporting customers, Sales Team, Service Team and UK Sales Support colleagues at all levels.
- Communicate to a high standard to liaise with the Application Manager, Sales Team, customers and suppliers.
- Identify level of detail required, time frame, budgets, etc. at the proposal stage.
- Planning and preparing customer special cutting demonstrations.
- Detailed in depth NC control and CAM system demonstrations.
- Planning of machine demonstrations showcasing the latest technology and partners / supplier technology.
- Planning and proving demonstrations for shows and running of shows (national and international).
- Support as required with providing program training courses for customers.
- Identify new technology, relating to the machine, options and local supply including work holding, programming CAD/CAM, automation, in process measuring systems etc.
- Visit customers as required to give technical assistance to Sales and Service teams.
- Knowledge of Mill:
Turn machine technology and CAD/CAM systems. - Broad CNC machining experience (Programming/Setting).
- Strong problem:solving ability, together with a flexible approach to a varied workload.
- Experience already in an applications role would be ideal.
- An engineering qualification to HNC/HND level.
- Completed a Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship.
