Overview

We’re looking for an experienced, self-motivated, enthusiastic and committed Project Support Officer to work in the Strengthening Communities team within the Adults and Communities directorate at Worcestershire County Council. You will bring a range of experience to the team including significant experience of coordinating projects, financial systems and monitoring, and providing excellent organisational and communication skills at all levels.

  • Job Title: Project Support Officer
  • Salary: £29,832 - £31,877 per annum
  • Hours: 35 Hours per Week
  • Location: The Hive, Worcester
  • Team: Strengthening Communities
  • Contract: Permanent
What You’ll Do
  • Join a small but diverse team supporting project delivery of externally funded schemes, managing commissioned services and wider partnership and engagement work.
  • Take forward day-to-day project co-ordination support in relation to the delivery of the Department of Work and Pensions funded Crisis and Resilience Fund and public facing directories and systems.
  • Carry responsibility for direct delivery activity in relation to these programmes including management of voucher schemes and financial processing and monitoring.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the local statutory voluntary and community sector and the ability to work collaboratively with partners to ensure the best outcomes for residents.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Experience of coordinating projects, financial systems and monitoring.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative way with partners and understand the local voluntary and community sector.
