The closing date is 30 June 2026

Are you passionate about improving Mental Health services and driving meaningful change across a complex health and care system? We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Mental Health Transformation Manager to join our Operations and Transformation Directorate and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our services.

You will support the Head of Transformation in delivering the Trust's transformation, improvement, and digital optimisation priorities. You will work closely with clinical and operational colleagues to map and analyse pathways, identify opportunities for standardisation and efficiency, and design improved processes that enhance patient experience and reduce unwarranted variation.

The role offers the opportunity to lead and contribute to divisional transformation portfolios, including pathway redesign, productivity improvements, and the development of future state operating models. You will bring high‑quality analytical insight, programme management discipline, and a collaborative approach to ensure improvements are evidence‑based, measurable, and sustainable.

Please note the Trust is unable to provide sponsorship to work for this role; to apply you must have current right to work in the UK. Employment on a time‑limited visa does not guarantee sponsorship at point of expiry.

Main duties of the job
  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency across operational and administrative processes within the mental health division.
  • Work collaboratively with digital, operational, and corporate teams to identify opportunities for automation, standardisation, and process optimisation.
  • Work with the performance and operations teams to develop and maintain directorate‑wide performance frameworks, ensuring accurate reporting, analysis, and escalation of key metrics for mental health transformation programmes.
  • Lead end‑to‑end process reviews, using recognised improvement methodologies to diagnose issues, map workflows, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Coordinate and contribute to the development of business cases, project documentation, and transformation proposals to support organisational decision‑making for mental health services.
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders, facilitating change adoption, building consensus, and supporting cultural and behavioural change.
  • Ensure robust governance and risk management across mental health transformation programmes, including maintaining risk registers, action plans, and assurance documentation.
  • Promote continuous improvement, embedding best practice, supporting capability building, and championing innovation across the directorate.
