Senior Therapeutic Radiographer

Closing date: 28 June 2026

Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is recruiting two (2.0) Senior Therapeutic Radiographers (Band
6) to join our friendly team at the Worcester Oncology Centre.

Recruitment will take place at a purpose-built building on the Worcestershire Royal Hospital site, offering beautiful views of the Malvern Hills and the Cotswolds, and close links to the M5. Worcester is a thriving city on the banks of the River Severn, with easy access to Birmingham, Cheltenham and Bristol.

We have a small, highly capable team of approximately 35 radiographers, including 3 Elekta Linacs (two capable of 4

DXVI), a superficial unit, a Cannon wide bore CT scanner, and a Ray Station planning system. We are paper‑light, using Mosaiq shared with University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire.

Key responsibilities include rotating through treatment and pre‑treatment areas, deputising for senior radiographers, and supporting the full replacement program of CT and Linac equipment scheduled for 2026, including SGRT installation.

Main duties of the job

As an experienced practitioner, you will rotate through the Radiotherapy Department providing clinical technical services using highly specialist equipment. You will work with and deputise for the treatment Team Leaders (Band 7) in managing caseload, staff and equipment of your designated unit, maintaining records and delivering evidence‑based, patient‑centred care.

You will support clinical placements for student radiographers, participating fully in the supervision, training and assessment of students.
