Physiotherapist Rotational – Band 5
Band 5, full‑time fixed‑term position until July 2027.

Rotational ProgrammeThe programme provides six‑month placements across the following areas:
- Respiratory Care
- General & Speciality Medicine
- Neurology and Stroke Rehabilitation
- Frailty Services
- Vascular Care
- Community Inpatients
- Community Reablement Team
- Provide high‑quality patient‑focused care, including assessment, diagnosis, and delivery of individual treatment programmes.
- Take responsibility for own caseload under supervision within a defined area.
- Assist in supervision, support and education of junior staff and students.
- Contribute to audit and evidence‑based practice.
- Perform outpatient activity and 7‑day service on rota depending on rotation.
- Provide on‑call, weekend and 24‑hour coverage as required.
- Conduct clinical assessment, risk analysis, and establish accurate diagnoses.
- Formulate and evaluate treatment programmes based on best‑practice evidence.
- Deliver manual therapy, exercise therapy and electrotherapy techniques.
- Maintain accurate records, valid consent and patient confidentiality.
- Participate in orthopaedic weekend and bank‑holiday discharge service.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain HCPC registration and adhere to professional standards.
- Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy.
- Health and Care Professions Council registration.
- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
- Full and valid driving licence with access to a vehicle for flexible site work.
- Willingness to work contracted hours over 7 days and on‑call service.
- Positive physical demands and commitment to working in Worcestershire.
- Knowledge of WAHT.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Responsible, flexible, well‑organised and good team working.
- Broad clinical knowledge across core areas.
- Understanding of professional, legal and governance responsibilities.
- Current awareness of NHS issues.
- Teaching and presentation skills.
Subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975; requires DBS/CRB check for criminal convictions.
