International Recruitment Operations Manager
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and hands-on professional to play a central role in shaping and delivering international recruitment operations at the University of Worcester. Working at the heart of a highly successful, close-knit team, you will take ownership of key processes, drive continuous improvement, and build strong relationships across the University and with global partners. The role offers genuine scope to make an immediate impact, combining strategic oversight with day-to-day operational delivery.

- To lead the implementation and oversight of the Agent Quality Framework processes within the University’s international recruitment activities, ensuring alignment with institutional policies, regulatory UKVI requirements, and sector best practice within higher education.
- To manage and deliver an excellent external-facing, continuously improving and customer-focused professional international recruitment support service which meets the needs of student applicants through collaboration with of internal and external stakeholders in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- To manage and deliver an internal-facing proactive support process for international applications including management of the relationships between the International Recruitment Team, Admissions, Communications, Academic Schools, Compliance Team, Finance, agents and applicants.
- Working with central communications to embed specialist marketing and CRM functions for international applicants to increase conversion, working collaboratively with colleagues in admissions, international recruitment, compliance, student experience and recruitment managers in academic schools.
- To lead on enhancing the working relationship with admissions and Schools looking at new and existing policies and processes that enable collaborative solutions for increased conversion and applicant quality.
- To manage and report on finance and budgets for the recruitment team including agent commission, travel budgets, conference and event budgets including agent conferences and activities such as pre-departure or applicant events.
- To manage finance activities for the whole international team including but not limited to: procurement activities, expense claims, purchase orders and third-party payments.
- To take responsibility for the international department training and staff development plan working with the International Senior Management Team.
- To take prime responsibility for the administration of agent commission, including managing agent contracts, validation of claims, approvals, and liaison with Finance to ensure accurate and timely payments in line with contractual terms.
- To manage and coordinate the Agent Onboarding process and Agent Agreements, ensuring contractual terms are reviewed and updated as appropriate, that the agent contract process is followed including due diligence and other checks. As part of this to retain an up-to-date central SharePoint database and ensure that regulatory and University reporting takes place as appropriate
- To take prime responsibility for the management of enquiries from prospective students and applicants and proactively manage engagement working with other colleagues as appropriate.
- To respond to applicant enquiries using knowledge and judgement to answer more complex issues such as qualification or language questions relevant to the assigned recruitment region. As part of this to ensure professional representation of the University of Worcester in all communications with prospective students and partners.
- To act as key point of contact for arranging incoming visits for prospective students, parents, agents, sponsors and other visitors, liaising with academic and professional support colleagues where necessary.
- To contribute to and support delivery of operational plans and implementation of international department or university wide projects to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment cycle, establishing monitoring procedures to keep track of progress.
- To contribute to the development and production of international marketing materials and the management of the content of the country webpages.
- To work closely with Admissions, the International Compliance and International Experience teams in areas of overlap relating to UKVI compliance, international student experience and mobility.
- To represent the University externally and at visits by representatives, embassies, educational institutions; and to liaise with external bodies such as the British Council and UKCISA.
