Small Business Commercial Account Handler

Location: Worcester
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm

We have an exciting opportunity for a Small Business Commercial Account Handler to join our client in Worcester.

The Role:

As a Small Business Commercial Account Handler, you'll manage a portfolio of SME clients, handling premiums up to £5,000. You'll provide expert advice, process renewals, and support clients with their insurance needs. This is a key role in ensuring clients receive the right cover and support throughout their insurance journey.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing new business, renewals, mid-term adjustments, and assisting with claims queries for SME commercial clients.
  • Delivering tailored insurance solutions, including property, liability, motor fleet, and professional indemnity.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and insurers.
  • Negotiating with insurers to secure competitive premiums and cover options.
  • Ensuring compliance with FCA regulations and internal procedures.
  • Using Acturis software to manage policies and client documents.

What We're Looking For:

  • Commercial insurance experience (preferably within a brokerage), or someone with a Personal Lines background looking to transition.
  • A solid understanding of SME commercial insurance products advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and an eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage workloads independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • CII qualifications (or working towards) would be ideal but are not essential.
