Job Overview

26 Hours (flexible working: to include mornings, evenings and occasional weekends).

Location:

Across six community hubs in Worcester: KGV Hub, Horizon Hub, Warndon Hub, Ronkswood Hub, Green Hub, Tolly Hub. Salary:
National Minimum Wage.

Purpose of the Role:
Under the direction of your line manager, be responsible for ensuring high‑quality operational standards and cleanliness of the six Community Hubs. The role requires moving, setting up and taking down chairs, tables, projectors and refreshments, and traveling independently between sites.

Flexibility is required, including mornings, evenings and occasional weekends. A rota will be provided a month in advance to cover the Trust’s needs in all hubs alongside cleaning duties.

• Ensure hubs are open to internal and external hirers at the appropriate times and that buildings are secure afterwards (Key Holding).
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly Health and Safety checks of fire call points, fire equipment, emergency lighting, water temperature, first aid stock levels and general safety inspections (training provided).
• Set up and take down furniture, equipment and refreshments for groups and hirers when requested.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe environment by carrying out specific cleaning as instructed.
• Liaise with hub managers and the maintenance team to report broken or unsafe items.
• Rectify small maintenance faults such as changing light bulbs, fuses or batteries.
• Advise your line manager of restocking requirements for cleaning products.
• Welcome visitors to the hub and address any queries they may have.
• Carry out an established cleaning routine, including hoovering, mopping, cleaning surfaces, toilets and kitchen areas, emptying dishwashers and buffing floors.

• Valid driving licence and access to a personal vehicle to travel between the six community hubs.
• Ability to travel independently between sites; you may not need to visit all hubs in one day.
• Good organisational and time‑management skills.
• Basic maintenance skills such as changing light bulbs and fuses.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and occasional weekends.
