Position: Warehouse Team Manager - Days

Warehouse Team Manager

We are looking for a motivated and hands‑on Team Manager to join our warehouse operation and help drive performance, safety and service standards across the site.

This is a fast‑paced role where you will lead by example, support operational teams and ensure the warehouse runs safely and efficiently while delivering excellent customer service.

Shift Pattern

Any 5 days out of 7, including weekend working as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate warehouse operatives and MHE drivers to achieve operational targets
  • Ensure high standards of health & safety, housekeeping and pallet safety are maintained at all times
  • Monitor productivity, workflow and service levels across the shift
  • Support goods in, replenishment and putaway.
  • Carry out team briefs, recruitment, investigations, return to works, and performance conversations
  • Drive a strong “one team” culture aligned to Bidfood values:

  • Coach and develop colleagues to improve performance and capability
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, food safety standards and operational controls
  • Work closely with other departments to maintain smooth warehouse flow and customer satisfaction
  • No matter what you’re doing, you’ll always be promoting and managing all safety
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous warehouse leadership or supervisory experience leading a team of 20 +
  • Proven history of optimising and leading a team towards daily targets.
  • Reach Truck and PPT experience.
  • RTITB Trained (preferred)
  • Highly Organised
  • Strong IT Skills
  • Experience with in FMCG, logistics, or food distribution preferred
  • Strong communication and people management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in a fast‑paced environment
  • Good understanding of warehouse health & safety standards
  • Experience using warehouse management systems is advantageous
  • Flexible approach to shifts and operational needs
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to support the wider operation
