Location:
Colchester Full-time, Permanent We are seeking an exceptional Registered Manager to lead our warm, person-centred 8-bed Learning Disabilities residential service . This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding care and empowering adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives. About the Role As our CQC Registered Manager , you will take full responsibility for the operational, regulatory, and developmental success of the service.
You will lead a dedicated team, promote a positive culture, and ensure the home consistently meets the highest standards of care and compliance.
Key Responsibilities Service Leadership — Provide strong, values-driven leadership to staff, ensuring a supportive and inclusive environment. CQC Compliance — Maintain full regulatory compliance, preparing for inspections and driving continuous improvement. Person-Centred Support — Ensure all residents receive tailored, empowering support that promotes independence and wellbeing. Team Development — Recruit, mentor, and develop staff, fostering a culture of learning and accountability.
Operational Oversight — Manage budgets, rotas, audits, and quality assurance processes. Stakeholder Engagement — Build strong relationships with families, professionals, and external partners. About You We’re looking for someone who brings both expertise and heart.
You will have:
Experience managing a residential or supported living service for adults with learning disabilities. A strong understanding of CQC regulations and quality frameworks. A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it). Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills. A commitment to delivering exceptional, person-centred care.
