We have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Building Safety team. The Building Safety department are responsible for ensuring that the Group meets all new and existing legislative and regulatory requirements with regard to building safety.
The role of Project Manager will include:- Manage projects throughout the project lifecycle through the effective control and utilisation of resources to ensure the achievement of the objectives identified within analysis
- Build, develop and manage relationships with internal and external customers to identify business needs / perform analysis to enable the implementation of effective change
- Review key business issues and consider how best to improve business performance
- Review and draft project specifications undertaking research within agreed deadlines to ensure controlled project growth, development and compliance
- Document and implement new and existing project management processes to achieve project efficiencies and cost reductions
- Assist with the delivery of new and integration of existing business systems including effective appraisal of their suitability to meet the future needs of the Group
- Work closely with colleagues in relation to scoping of projects ensuring all parties have a clear understanding of their role and the information expected from them and work towards achieving the same goal
- Ensure all projects are delivered in line with legislation and regulatory requirements and make appropriate recommendations at any point of a project to ensure full compliance
- Provide high quality, detailed information to senior management on project progress and issues to support operational planning and delivery of anticipated targets
- Collate lessons learned as the project progresses so that meaningful data can be provided for future projects
- Prince2 Practitioner level or equivalent - desirable but not essential
- Proven experience of managing medium to large scale projects/programmes, with an understanding of a full project life cycle
- Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
- Proven experience of producing progress reports and management information, including making recommendations for changes needed to ensure delivery
- Proven experience of managing projects with strong management skills
- Proven experience of using project planning tools to effectively manage projects
- Proven experience of effective communication skills
- Some experience of budget preparation and control
- Proven experience analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing solutions

- £45,736 per annum (rising to £48,157 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
