Orion are working with a heavy industrial manufacturing company based in Worcester who are looking for An experienced Tool Maker to join the team in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.

Tool Maker Package:

Competitive Salary £34,000  Shift premium
26 days holiday  Bank Holidays
PM Shift allowance 16% (£2,640 per annum)
Annual attendance allowance of £1000 which is paid monthly in instalments
Death in service
Pension contribution

Tool Maker

Shifts:

Double Day

Shift: 6am – 2pm & 2pm – 10pm

Tool Maker Responsibilities:

Working closely with a team of 2x Tool Makers
Maintaining CNC & die casting machinery – Or similar industrial equipment
Supporting production
Continuous improvement in tooling
Small amount of welding/fabrication
Maintenance and production of fixtures
Fault finding in compact machinery and spaces
Working into senior management to help with the running of the tool room

Tool Maker

Required Experience:

Manual Turning, Milling, Grinding, Bench Fitting
Welding/fabrication
Stripping/Assembling of dies and trimtools or plastic injection moulding machines
Experience in forge, die casting or injection moulding environment
Maintenance of CNC and die casting machinery or similar equipment
Previous experience working in a tool room environment
Strong communication skills required
Problem solving

Tool Maker

Qualifications:

Apprentice trained ideally or time served
Tool making – manual machining skillset/background
