Salary: £45k - £50k
The Client
With plants in Birmingham and Worcestershire this engineering manufacturing company are looking for a Production Manager to run the West Midlands plant. This company has a global presence and supplies a range of engineering parts to a wide client base. The company is enjoying both continued growth and investment to increase their current capacity and are QS9000 and ISO
14001 approved.
The Role
As Production Manager you will report to the Operations Director and be capable of leading the entire plant when the Operations Director is not on site. You will be capable of high end reporting, managing budgets, writing, monitoring and successfully using KPI’s along with being able to drive change and implement new policies and procedures. You will lead and promote good housekeeping, lean methodology and be an excellent forecaster.
You will ensure that your line managers and their teams are working together to ensure that all products are delivered on time and that company goals are met. This role will benefit from planning knowledge and the ability to ensure orders are scheduled in order to complete customer orders.
The Candidate
The successful candidate for the role of Production Manager will have experience in a very similar position within manufacturing in any discipline. You will have a good level of Engineering Principles knowledge and be able to make decisions around manufacturing and new product introduction. Obviously you will be an excellent communicator, be capable of leading a team, reporting to a board, and you will have strong organisational skills, be able to multitask and be a clear and concise communicator and manager.
