GMP Recruitment Agency Limited are proud to be partnered with a Worcester based, leading UK Manufacturing company. We have a great opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their team on a full time, permanent contract.

The successful candidate can expect an hourly rate of up to £18p/h which is pending relevant experience, working 40 hours per week, which can be split over 4- or 5-days pending preference.

The successful candidate will work across a variety of mechanical and hydraulic systems, ensuring high-quality assembly, maintenance, and repair of equipment. This is a hands-on role requiring experience with hydraulics, cable crimping, and a variety of hand tools.

Mechanical Fitter main duties:

* Assemble, maintain, and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems to company and client standards.

* Carry out cable crimping, wiring, and electrical harness work as required.

* Use hand tools and power tools to perform precision fitting and assembly.

* Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.

* Test and troubleshoot hydraulic systems and mechanical assemblies to identify and rectify faults.

* Collaborate with engineers and workshop teams to ensure timely completion of projects.

Mechanical Fitter required skills and experience:

* Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

* Strong practical experience with hydraulics, including assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

* Hands-on experience with cable crimping and electrical harness assembly.

* Proficiency in the use of hand tools and general workshop equipment.

* Ability to read engineering drawings and technical manuals.
