Ambassador Volunteer (Diglis Island and Fish Pass Guides)
Join the Canal & River Trust as an Ambassador and help to connect more people to our canals.
Your role will help to preserve our nation’s history and keep canals alive. You will have the opportunity to support some incredible events, be part of a supportive team network, and gain a new appreciation for our unique environment.
This is an opportunity to be the ‘face’ of the Canal & River Trust and the Unlocking the Severn project, playing a key role in the enjoyment of the visitor experience and ensuring visitors leave with a greater understanding and affinity to the River Severn.
You will provide an exceptional Visitor experience including guiding pre-booked groups around Diglis Island, the riverside at Diglis and the Fish Pass as well as supporting Fish Pass drop-ins, heritage Open Days and the Diglis Island Cafe. The role may involve opening and securing buildings. This is a great opportunity to work in unique locations such as the historic workshop, lock island and the innovative engineering of the fish pass.
You will meet new people, engage with variety of visitors from the local area and further afield, gain confidence through leading tours and share knowledge about local area.
