Green & Away, a charity, offers a summer internship programme that is varied and adapted to suit individual interests.

As an intern, you will play a crucial role throughout the summer, managing teams of volunteers and acting as the backbone of the crew.

• Manage teams of volunteers and provide ongoing site knowledge.
• Lead and undertake longer‑term projects.
• Assist in setting up and taking down the site.
• Run individual or portfolio projects with a focus on sustainability, ecotourism and outdoor living.
• Help maintain teamwork and guidance through the induction and continual support from a trustee board member.

• Writing a strategy for the charity.
• Designing and painting educational boards and signs.
• Conducting a carbon footprint analysis.
• Assisting with the charity’s social media.
• Designing and running educational workshops for volunteers.

• Interest in sustainability and social issues.
• Motivation to work outdoors and in ecotourism settings.
• Ability to lead and work within volunteer teams.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• On‑the‑job training and induction.
• Continual guidance from a dedicated trustee board member.
