Are you passionate about safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, and developing thriving volunteer networks? is looking for an ambitious and people-focused Safeguarding & Workforce Manager to join our senior leadership team and play a key role in strengthening recreational cricket across the county. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference by ensuring cricket remains safe, welcoming and accessible for everyone, while supporting the volunteers and workforce that make the game possible.

As a strategic leader within the Foundation, you will work closely with clubs, leagues, schools, community organisations and governing bodies to embed best practice in safeguarding, welfare, inclusion and workforce development.

Salary: £32,000 – £36,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Location: New Road, Worcester with travel across Worcestershire and Dudley. Hybrid working available with up to two days per week from home.
Contract: Full Time, 35 hours per week

The Role

As Safeguarding & Workforce Manager, you will lead the Foundation’s safeguarding approach, ensuring the highest standards of welfare and protection are embedded throughout our programmes and across the wider cricket network. You will provide expert guidance to clubs and volunteers, manage safeguarding concerns, and support organisations to create safe, positive environments for participants. Alongside safeguarding, you will lead the delivery of the Foundation’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy and champion initiatives that help clubs become more welcoming and representative of their communities.

You will also play a crucial role in developing and supporting Worcestershire’s cricket workforce by strengthening volunteer networks, delivering training opportunities, coordinating coach and official education programmes, and helping clubs recruit, retain and develop volunteers.

What We’re Looking For
  • Significant safeguarding experience gained through roles such as social work, education, policing, safeguarding leadership or similar environments.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, procedures and best practice.
  • Experience of working with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience of managing, supporting or developing volunteers and work forces.
  • A genuine commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Experience in sport, cricket, volunteer management, training delivery or multi-agency working would be advantageous.
