Manufacturing Quality Technician (Inspection Technician)
Location: Worcester Six Business Park, Worcester (WR4 0AD
)
Contract: 6-month rolling
Hours: 37 hours per week
Shift allowance: +20%, for late shift (TBC)
Working Hours- Late Shift: Monday–Thursday: 14:30 – 23:30 and Friday: 14:30 – 18:30
We’re looking for a Manufacturing Quality Technician / Inspection Technician to join a growing team in Worcester. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a quality-driven environment using advanced inspection technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Technician will perform inspection of components using manual and automated methods
- Measure parts and produce accurate inspection documentation
- Review reports for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
- Manage and report non-conformances
- Liaise with internal departments to resolve quality issues
- Use tools such as CMM (PC-DMIS), Zeiss scanners, and manual gauges
- Document results in Excel and Zeiss Pi Web
- Support QMS development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain high standards of quality, integrity, and best practice
- Participate in 5S and TPM activities
- Experience in a manufacturing quality or inspection role.
- Broad inspection experience covering all basic disciplines; non-conformance handling, reporting, approval/rejection, identifying appropriate inspection methods, manual measurements, computerised inspection.
- Manufacturing Quality Technician will have strong understanding of quality documentation and processes
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings (ASME, ISO standards)
- Experience with manual and computerised inspection
- CMM operation knowledge (multi-part setups, fixturing)
- Good IT skills (ERP systems, MS Office, basic CAD)
- Need to have manufacturing/inspection experience.
- Experience with Zeiss Inspect GOM scanning
- Knowledge of NADCAP / ZEISS systems
- Experience with castings, machined or additive manufactured parts
