Electrician

Equans is looking for an Electrician to join our team at Worcestershire Royal Hospital. This is a permanent, full‑time role, working 40 hours per week. There is also an on‑call rota.

On offer is a salary of up to £37,000 per annum, dependent upon skills and experience and a benefits package. There is also overtime available.

What will you deliver?
  • Undertake a proactive role carrying out maintenance, repairs and inspection on electrical systems, and mechanical and associated building services. All in accordance with relevant standards and operational procedures and in compliance with legislation and guidance.
  • As part of a skilled engineering team you will carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks to various services across site and will involve varied tasks such as working on Lighting Systems, Nurse Call, L.V. Electrical Installations, Security Systems, Motors, Pumps and associated building services in accordance with the PPM programme.
  • Respond in the required time to ad‑hoc breakdown requests as identified by supervisor / manager or as a minimum, to comply with contractual KPI’s.
  • Assist in carrying out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works.
  • Carry out systematic fault finding in a logical and safe manner on malfunctioning equipment.
  • Take part in an on‑call rota.

Who are you?
  • Previously worked within a maintenance environment
  • Level 3 Electrical Qualification
  • Recognised apprenticeship in relevant engineering discipline to City & Guilds level
  • 18th Edition
  • Possess a current valid driving licence
  • Good electrical knowledge – ability to fault find and repair electrical systems
  • Able to work out of hours due to call out
  • Testing & Inspection 2391 (Desirable)
  • Previously worked within a healthcare maintenance environment (Desirable)

This role includes a DBS Standard check, therefore ability to pass is essential.
